Everything for this Zaza wedding began as beautiful as ever. The sun set and glowed through the windows as Amber and Romy began to get ready. However, the unexpected happened when the electricity went out at Hotel Zaza and its surrounding areas.
It’s moments like these that a talented professional wedding vendors gets to really show off what we’re made of. The planner, Kat Creech, made what seemed impossible… totally epic! She took charge and led a team of experienced professionals. We all backed and supported every one of her decisions. Every single one of us worked and gave all we could to make this wedding the most beautiful of any wedding… with or without electricity.
As usual, we showed up with all our flash batteries charged and ready to go. But, naturally, we always recharge them as the night goes on. Knowing that was never going to be an option, most of the photography is shot with the low ambient light. The challenge of barely using our flashes is something I fully welcomed as I’m already very used to low lighting situations and using that as a tool for visual drama.
I think the work below speaks for itself.
