This lovely couple found Madera Estates and our services before finding out they’d be moving out of state and wouldn’t be able to get married here! It was a bit unfortunate but Kristin decided to make the most out of the situation and booked us for a “Day Before Wedding” Photo Session!!
I know what you’re thinking: So he saw her before the ceremony?!?!?!
Well don’t freak out just yet! Did you know: the only reason they say it’s bad luck for the groom to see his bride before the ceremony is because back in the day (when marriages were arranged) there were instances when the groom would take a peek at his bride-to-be and run off leaving the bride at the altar. Nowadays most of us have already gotten to know our partners to the point where the sight of the bride-to-be in her wedding dress is not exactly scary to the groom but actually exciting, emotional, and romantic!
Now some perks to doing a Day Before Wedding Photo Session:
-Lighting! Most couples want their ceremony and reception at particular times but that leaves you with a short and (most of the time) inconvenient time for portraits. Sunset or sunrise hours are really the best times for outdoor shoots so you can schedule your photo session during those times and later on still have your ceremony during the beautiful sunset!
-You get plenty of STREES-FREE time to take the photos you want at the locations you want no matter how far from your venue
-You don’t have to worry about rushing back for your ceremony or reception
-On your wedding day, you can focus on having FUN and take full advantage of the presence of your guests and your reception (your guests are gonna really love you for that!!)
-You can showcase the photos on your wedding day!
For Kristin & Scott, we were able to dedicate precious time to their photos and were able to use much of Madera Estates‘s beautiful space. Now Kristin can get married stress-free knowing that no matter what happens… she already has AWESOME PHOTOS and she’ll be able to showcase these and her album during her wedding!!
A note from the bride: As usual, your work is impeccable and I am truly thrilled with the photos! I have never been a “photogenic” person, however, you managed to bring out the best in me and capture the love that Scott and I have for one another. : )
